How to update firmware:
Updating your bike's firmware is an easy process, and only takes a couple of minutes.
Before you begin, please confirm the following:
- You have the latest version of the Flash app installed on your mobile device. If you do not have automatic downloads enabled on your device, you can launch the App Store or Google Play to check for an update.
- Your Flash is in a location with cellular wireless coverage, is in the ON mode, and has at least 50% battery charge or is connected to the charger.
- Your mobile device has Bluetooth enabled and is within 10 feet of your Flash.
Now that you're ready, go ahead and launch the app, tap the menu "burger" icon in the top left corner, select Settings, and then scroll down and tap on 'Firmware Update.' (see screenshot)
The app needs a second or two to retrieve info from the bike, and will then display your firmware status. If your firmware is up-to-date, you'll see a message telling you that there is no update at this time. If there is an update available, you will see a message prompting you to update. Go ahead and tap on 'Upgrade' to continue. (see screenshot)
As soon as you tap 'Upgrade,' your bike will begin downloading the latest firmware and the app will display a progress bar. (see screenshot)
When the firmware update is complete, the app will return to the home screen and display a message to confirm your successful update. (see screenshot)
And that's it - your all done! There's nothing left to do but ride...
